First, the story...

OK, so my other "career" started with my first record, "Prodigal", released in 2000 after Dave Bunker once again became a champion for indy guys like me. Thanks Dave! Eric Johnson was given this record by my good friend and former boss Gary Schiff back in Texas. We talked a little about collaborating, but the chance did not appear until 2005, when I did my record, "Hero Shuffle".

Eric played on an instrumental with me and Phil Keaggy (the title track), as well as another track ("She Reminds Me Of Austin"). Now that was intoxicating. Additionally, I had consequently gotten to know Phil Keaggy and arranged to have him play 2 tracks on the record as well. I was overwhelmed - my heroes. Was I crazy to want more? Well, providence dictated that - I got to know Dann Huff soon thereafter, and he played on 3 tracks. I still am overwhelmed by all of that.

Then in 2009, I started writing and recording my own stuff again, and it turned into the record "Surfin' In A Hurricane". Phil Keaggy played again on 2 tracks (I know!), and we soon did a concert together.

I promise, I really am going to play out soon. My wife is struggling with health issues, but she is inspiring me to go out and play. So, I really am going to play out in Nashville soon (hopefully February), and then in Texas with a couple of intensely talented old friends (hopefully in April).
